My knee and ankle was a little bit sore before I even started my run this evening but I think that is from sitting down at work for the majority of the time plus I twisted my knee when I got up out of my chair.
Jorge started the run with me but he dropped out and headed home as his knee was sore. I was torn for a little while as to whether I should head home with him or carry on but he told me he would be fine so I carried on running!!
I didn’t quite get my timings right as to how quick it would take me to get home so I had to run up and down outside my flat for three minutes!! I hate to think what my neighbours think of me but to be honest it doesn’t matter as I am on a mission to get fit and let everyone know about the Charlie Kristensen Foundation….. #CheerUpCharlie!
Tonight’s run was 5 minutes in Zone 1 followed by 35 minutes in Zone 2. An Endurance Run serves to develop the basic physiological and psychological ingredients of endurance, including fat-burning capacity and mental focus.
40 minutes so far so good…. There is no way I would have been able to run for 40 minutes if I had continued to push myself to run faster at this stage.
Wahoo 2.66 miles in the bag and no signs of being tired. It is a strange one as the aches and pains I had in my knee and ankle before I started tonight’s run has gone.. It must be true what they say…. move a little each day.
